Karachi: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has made it clear that they are ready to face fresh elections if Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif opts to dissolve the assemblies. In a candid interview on Neo TV, PPP Secretary General Nayyer Hussain Bukhari spoke about the party’s preparedness for this scenario, saying, “If the government is in danger, then the Prime Minister should dissolve parliament and go for new elections.”
Bukhari’s statement comes as a direct challenge to the ruling coalition led by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). He suggests that if the political situation becomes too unstable, it might be better to hold elections rather than continue with a fragile government.
The PPP’s stance reflects their confidence and willingness to engage in the political process head-on. With tensions growing, this move could significantly influence the upcoming political landscape in Pakistan.
