Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, held a high-level meeting with an Iranian delegation during the Islamabad Talks, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to facilitating dialogue and promoting regional peace.
The Iranian delegation was led by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Consultative Assembly, and included Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
During the meeting, the prime minister appreciated Iran’s participation in the talks and underscored Pakistan’s sincere resolve to continue playing a constructive mediating role aimed at achieving meaningful outcomes for regional and global stability.
Senior Pakistani officials also attended the meeting, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
The discussions form part of ongoing diplomatic efforts in Islamabad to reduce tensions and encourage dialogue amid evolving regional dynamics.
