ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed expedite the pace of work on Sindh Development Plan projects.
He was chairing a high-level meeting to review the implementation of the 444 billion rupee Sindh Development Plan.
The meeting was informed that overall the Sindh Development Plan comprises 48 PSDP projects, 50 non-PSDP projects, and 7 Public-Private Partnership projects.
It was also informed that 26 new PSDP projects have been approved and financial resources allocated for the Fiscal year 2021-22.
The forum was apprised that an amount of16.304 billion rupees have been authorized by Planning Commission for 8 Federal Government Divisions and organizations.
The Prime Minister said that aim of the Sindh Development plan is to uplift the socio-economic status of the residents of 14 priority Districts of Sindh.
He directed the concerned departments to fast-track work on Hyderabad – Sukkur Motorway and construction of sports complexes in Badin, Ghotki, Thar, Mirpur Khas, Tando Muhammad Khan, Hyderabad, and Sanghar.
Several members of Parliament, Provincial Assemblies, and party officials called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad today.
They discussed political issues and development projects in their respective constituencies.
The Prime Minister directed them to work for welfare of people, especially the poor.
