The government increased the price of petrol by Rs 19.95 paise and the price of high-speed diesel by Rs 19.90 paise.
Petrol price increased by Rs 19 95 paise to Rs 272.95 paise while diesel price increased by Rs 19 90 paise to Rs 273.40 paise.
A notification has also been issued to increase the prices of petroleum products.
While giving a press conference in Islamabad, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that oil prices have increased in the global market in recent days.
Ishaq Dar said that the Prime Minister has said that we should do what is best for the people, we have a commitment with the IMF regarding the petroleum levy.
The finance minister says that considering the country’s interest, the minimum price is being increased, and the new prices of petroleum products will be applied immediately.
