KARACHI – Pakistan’s IT sector has risen in the global rankings, Pakistan ranked 107th to 99th out of 132 countries in the Global Innovation Index.
According to the index, Pakistan ranks 17th out of 34 countries in the Lower Middle Income Group, and 7th out of 10 countries in South and Central Asia.
According to the report, Pakistan has improved its position by reforming the IT sector and infrastructure. The performance of various sectors has been reported in 11 sectors of the IT sector.
Improvements were recorded in phone manufacturing, IT exports, software technology and other sectors. Pakistan’s ranking in the Global Startups Ecosystem Index also rose from 82 to 75, with Jhelum and Multan in the top 1000 in the Startups Index.
According to the report, Islamabad rose 122 places to 437th position in the top 500, while Lahore rose 14 places in the Startups Index to 257th position in the world.
According to a global report, venture capital funding under the start-up ecosystem in Pakistan has increased by 97%.
The Federal Minister for IT said that our reforms in the IT sector should lead to an improvement in the world rankings.
