Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Staff and Army Chief Asim Munir on Thursday reaffirmed Pakistan’s full support to both Iran and the United States in achieving a lasting peace following the recent two-week ceasefire.

According to a PMO statement, both leaders reviewed the progress of Pakistan’s mediation efforts and welcomed the restraint shown by all parties. They stressed the importance of maintaining the ceasefire and facilitating a negotiated settlement.
The prime minister also extended his assurance of Pakistan’s highest consideration and support to the delegations arriving for talks in Islamabad.
