Davos, Switzerland | 21 January 2026 : The Pakistan Pavilion was formally inaugurated at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting Davos 2026 on 21 January 2026 at the Morosani Posthotel, Davos, marking a significant milestone in Pakistan’s strategic engagement with global economic, investment, and innovation leaders.
The inauguration was led by the Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, in the distinguished presence of Mr. Ikram Sehgal, Co-Chairman Pathfinder Group, Air Cdre (Retd) Farhan Ahmad, Director CITADEL, and members of the CITADEL team.
Organized under the Pathfinder Center of Excellence – CITADEL, the Pakistan Pavilion serves as a dedicated platform to present Pakistan’s innovation-led growth narrative, highlighting opportunities in entrepreneurship, technology, sustainability, and private sector development.

A cohort of eight Pakistani startups, curated and facilitated by CITADEL, showcased their business plans at the Pavilion and provided detailed briefings to international guests, including global investors, policymakers, corporate leaders, and development partners. The startup presentations reflected Pakistan’s growing entrepreneurial maturity and its capacity to deliver scalable, globally relevant solutions.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to economic reforms, innovation-driven growth, and constructive global partnerships. He appreciated the efforts of Pathfinder Group and CITADEL in effectively projecting Pakistan’s positive and progressive image at a premier global forum.
Mr. Ikram Sehgal emphasized the importance of public-private collaboration in strengthening Pakistan’s international economic footprint, while Air Cdre (Retd) Farhan Ahmad highlighted CITADEL’s mission to nurture innovation, talent, and entrepreneurship as key drivers of national development.
The Pakistan Pavilion will continue to host high-level engagements, startup interactions, and strategic discussions throughout WEF Davos 2026, reinforcing Pakistan’s presence in global economic discourse.
