Pakistan Chamber of Commerce – USA (PCC-USA) has been playing a key role in introducing Pakistani products to the United States for the past 25 years. The Pakistani community in Houston in particular is very active.
In the era of COVID-19, the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected officials of the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce was held on Saturday in which all social distinctions were taken care of. District 22 Sugarland’s newly elected Hon. Congressman Troy E. Nehls was the chief guest. The event was organized by the Chamber’s Advisory Committee headed by P. J. Swati, Vice President of the Advisory Committee.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Dr. Ashraf Abbasi, Founding Member of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce – USA (PCC-USA) and President of the Advisory Committee, said in his address that the plant planted 25 years ago has now become a tenacious tree and all the incoming members are part of it. The selected board will play an important role in the promotion of Pakistani products.




According to the PCC-USA announcement for the Directors, Shahid Munir, Wahid Lala, Dr. Muddassir Siddique, Farah Iqbal, Nusrat Laghari, and Mohammad Shoaib Rahman and senior Members congratulated the newly elected Director and assured them of their full support & cooperation.
Hon. Congressman Troy E. Nehls (Dist. 22 TX) administered the Oath at ITC of office to all newly elected officials and stressed that this position of the Chamber is a very important one and he hopes the new board will work positively. He also assured his full cooperation.
The newly elected President, Prof. Dr. Javed Ashraf, who has also been the Vice-Chancellor of Quaid-e-Azam University, in his address congratulated all and mentioned the responsibilities of his office and the difficulties ahead and their appropriate solutions.
Dr. Ashraf Abbasi, President of the Advisory Board, also presented the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce to Hon. Congressman Troy E. Nehls. The ceremony ended with a hearty lunch.
