Karachi/Dammam: Pak Global Forum organized a dignified and spiritually uplifting ceremony in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, titled “Reception of Ramadan,” to welcome the holy month of Ramadan for the Pakistani community residing in the city. The event was attended by prominent social, religious, and business personalities who discussed the preparations, significance, and collective responsibilities associated with Ramadan.
The ceremony was presided over by Pak Global Forum President Professor Ihsanullah Bhatti, while Chairman Rana Javed Aslam supervised the event. In their opening remarks, the speakers welcomed the participants and emphasized that Ramadan is not only a month of worship but also a time for self-accountability, patience, sacrifice, tolerance, and mutual compassion.
The Chief Guest, former spokesperson of the Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Munir Ahmed Qamar, highlighted the spiritual importance of Ramadan in his address. He stated that Ramadan provides the best opportunity for individuals to strengthen their relationship with Allah, reform themselves, and play a positive role in society. He also stressed the importance of attaining piety, understanding the true spirit of fasting, and strengthening one’s connection with the Holy Qur’an.
In his presidential address, Professor Ihsanullah Bhatti thanked the participants and urged the community to organize collective Iftar programs and focus on the religious and moral training of the younger generation. He said Pak Global Forum has always remained committed to the welfare of the community and will continue to organize such spiritual and social programs in the future.
Prominent social and business personalities, including Abdul Saboor Qureshi, Rana Muhammad Ashraf, Dr. Asad Mahmood, Nadeem Akhtar Chaudhry, Ghulam Mustafa, Dr. Mansha Tahir, Yaqoob Saifi, Syed Muzammil Shah, and Ishtiaq Abbasi, also addressed the gathering. The speakers highlighted the blessings of Ramadan, the importance of charity, strengthening family ties, and supporting the community.
The ceremony concluded with a formal dinner hosted in honor of the participants at Green Global Hall, where attendees interacted with one another and exchanged views on preparations for the holy month of Ramadan.
