Minsk : The Embassy of Pakistan in Minsk, in collaboration with Vitebsk State Medical University, has opened a “Pakistan Cultural/Educational Center” at the university campus The center features an extensive collection of books on Pakistan, stunning artworks from renowned Pakistani artists, breathtaking photographs of the diverse landscapes of Pakistan and a vibrant array of artifacts that exemplify the rich traditions of Pakistani arts and crafts.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the senior leadership of the University and Pakistani students currently enrolled. On this occasion, His Excellency Sajjad Haider Khan, Ambassador of Pakistan to Belarus, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Vitebsk State Medical University for its invaluable partnership in establishing this Center. He noted that Vitebsk was not only famous for its rich cultural heritage, but also played a vital role in fostering international education with hundreds of foreign students pursuing their higher education. The Ambassador shared about the Embassy’s participation in the annual “Slavianski Bazaar” Festival in Vitebsk for the past four consecutive years, reinforcing cultural ties between the two nations.
The university’s Rector also commended the Embassy for its initiative and assuring support for future collaborations.
Following the inauguration, the Ambassador also held an hour long interaction with over 150 students in attendance. The program also included a detailed presentation on Pakistan and a video documentary followed by Q & A Session.
