Karachi: S.M. Mehboob-ul Alam Deputy High Commissioner invited Pakistani businessmen to invest in Bangladesh. Expressing his thoughts at a seminar ‘Pak Bangladesh Relation’, jointly organized by Karachi Council of Foreign Relation (KCFR) and Jinnah Society here he said Pakistani companies have significant investment opportunities in various economic sectors in Bangladesh. He gave detailed presentation on economic journey of his country.
Highlighting progress, development and achievements of Bangladesh during last 50 years of existence, he said that Bangladesh achieved many goals in various sectors. He said that education, health, energy and media technology is first priority of Bangladesh. We started several programs for development of our nation, provided home to homeless and agricultural and, idea of self-supporting, leaned them to generate food for self.
It was ensured to reach up to 75 percent of education and impede increased in population growth. Here quested government that Bangal is living in Pakistan for long should be given nationality as Afghanis were provided with this opportunity.
Deputy High Commissioner urged both countries to increase joint economic cooperation and investment. This will attain an effective role for development of both countries.
Chairman KCFR Ikram Sehgal said that economic cooperation can result in improving ties between Bangladesh and Pakistan and rebuff propaganda against both countries.
Commodore (retd.) Sadeed A Malik introduced DHC Bangladesh to audience regarding his professional expertise, education and experience in field. Commodore Malik also termed new emerging relations between two countries “Goodomen”.
