Karachi (Staff Reporter) Pakistan Navy Karachi Port Trust, Isa Laboratories, Suno Bolo Pakistan, Nabi Qasim Pharma (Courtesy of Chaudhry Faqir Muhammad and E-Pharm Laboratories (Courtesy of Fahad Ilyas Naini Talwala) in collaboration with Rotary Club of Karachi, maintaining its humanitarian tradition, organized a free medical camp for the people of Manora and surrounding backward areas of Maripur, Younasabad, Mahi Chowk, Baba, Butt, Salehabad, Kachi Line at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Salehabad from 9 am to 4 pm. The aim of this medical camp was to provide basic and quality medical facilities to the deserving people so as to promote the principles of compassion, dignity and social responsibility that reflect the motto of Rotary, Service Self Above. Prominent doctors Dr. Abdul Khaliq Eye Care Team), Dr. Salman Adil and others performed their services in the medical camp. On this occasion, Admiral (Retd) Tanveer Ahmed said that the Rotary Club of Karachi organizing a free medical camp for the people of Manora and surrounding backward areas is a commendable and humanitarian initiative. He said that in such areas where basic health facilities are not available, Facilities are limited, there are no such camps diagnosis of diseases but also prove to be a great convenience for the people. Admiral (retd) Tanveer Ahmed said that organizing this welfare activity in collaboration with Pakistan Navy Karachi Port Trust and other institutions is a great example of mutual cooperation and national unity.

He appreciated the efforts of the Rotary Club of Karachi, medical staff and volunteers and said that serving the deprived sections of the society is a common responsibility of all of us, and expressed the hope that such welfare initiatives will be continued in the future under the same spirit. On this occasion, former District Governor of Rotary International District 3271 Muhammad Hanif Khan expressed his views and said that organizing free medical camps in Manora and surrounding backward areas by the Rotary Club of Karachi Bay is a wonderful example of service to humanity. He said that provision of basic health facilities is the fundamental right of every human being, and such camps prove to be a ray of hope for those sections who are facing expensive treatment. Muhammad Hanif Khan said that the organization of this camp in collaboration with Pakistan Navy, Karachi Port Trust and other institutions is proof that through mutual cooperation and collective efforts, real help can be provided to the deprived sections of the society He paid tribute to the team of doctors and volunteers of the Rotary Club of Karachi and expressed the hope that Rotary will continue its welfare and humanitarian activities in the future under the same spirit.
