Karachi – The inaugural meeting of the Pak-Philippines Business Council was held at
the FPCCI conference room, co-chaired by Chairman Pak-Philippines Business Council
Atif Iqbal and FPCCI Vice President Asif Inam. The meeting featured Dr. Imran Yusuf,
Honorary Consul General of the Philippines in Sindh, as the chief guest. Fahad Sheikh,
Honorary Consul General, Punjab and Fariha Khan, Trade and Investment Officer at
the Pakistan Embassy, participated via Zoom.


During the meeting, Asif Inam emphasized the substantial opportunities for bilateral
trade between Pakistan and the Philippines. He noted that businessmen from both
countries could reap significant benefits through enhanced trade relations. Atif Iqbal
echoed these sentiments, stressing the importance of exchanging trade delegations
to promote business activities between the two countries.
Iqbal stated that Pakistani businessmen visiting the Philippines and vice versa would
foster stronger trade ties. He assured that the Pak-Philippines Business Council,
under the auspices of FPCCI, would provide full support and play an active role in
facilitating these exchanges.
The meeting underscored the commitment of both countries to strengthen bilateral
trade relations and explore new business opportunities for mutual benefit.
