Hyderabad : On May ,on the occasion of World Thalassemia day Civil Hospital Hyderabad was visited by RTN. President Dr. Sarfraz Ahmed Qureshi Hyderabad Galaxy club 3271 and others under the leadership of Regional Ombudsmen Mr. Abdul Wahab Memon. We visited the Thalassemia ward and the lady doctor and the male doctor in charge there introduced us to the patients and made us aware of the problems being faced. I saw Deputy Governor of Omar kot District 3271 Ghan Sham sitting with the children suffering from thalassemia. I had a dialogue with him and came to know that two of his sons are suffering from this disease. I was shocked as Mr.Ghan Sham belongs to Hindu Community and there is no concept of cousin marriage in Hinduism. The rate of such genetic diseases is very rear in the Hindu community. I introduced Mr. Ghan Sham to Mr. Abdul Wahab Memon.Mr Wahab Memon took the details from Mr.Ghan Sham and asked him if he had any problems.
