LAHORE, December 13, 2022: The 25-year-old Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai is on a visit to her native country “Pakistan” to promote girls’ education and fellowship program.
The noted education activist returned to Pakistan along with her family members through Virgin Atlantic flight in Lahore.
In a statement, Malala Fund said that her latest visit aims “to help keep international attention focused on the impact of floods in Pakistan and reinforce the need for critical humanitarian aid.”
Ms. Yousafzai was just 15 years old when the Pakistani Taliban (TTP) shot her in the head while returning home from school over her campaign for girls’ education, will assist Pakistani girls to get access to science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics education.
Two months ago, Malala visited the flood-hit Chandan area of Juhi in Dadu district where she interacted with the flood affected people and inspected the tent city.
Malala Yousafzai is scheduled to meet stakeholders in education, government, the development community, digital cultural creators, students, and youth during her stay in the South Asian region.
The prominent education activist Malala Yousafzai will also attend Oxford Pakistan Programme (OPP) and the Malala Fund team events for awareness of the academic program within Pakistan, with a focus on science education for young girls.
