Karachi: Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon recently addressed concerns about the new terminal in Karachi. Despite offering a free shuttle service, some bus operators have filed lawsuits with false claims and are trying to influence public officials for personal benefit.
Minister Memon, who oversees Information, Transport, Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control, confirmed that the terminal relocation will proceed as planned. He assured that the project will continue despite external pressures.
The goal of moving terminals outside Karachi is to remove illegal bus stands from city roads. The transport department is committed to enforcing the law and adhering to court orders.
Memon emphasized that the relocation aligns with court directives and called for all parties to respect the legal process. The Sindh government is focused on resolving issues for transporters while safeguarding public interests.
Discussions with transporters will continue to address all stakeholder concerns. The Transport Department is dedicated to ensuring efficient and legal transport operations in Karachi.
