Karachi : Former Minister Sind and Convener of Horticultural Standing Committee of FPCCI Muhammad Noman Saigal has fully supported the proposed projects including corporate Exhibitions of Fruits specially Dates in Karachi to be organised by the Universities of Sind with the collaboration of various national organisations will bring drastic improvement in cultivation, trade and export of dates all over Pakistan and overseas .
Mr Saigal was of the view that the business community and all the leading national and international organisations , Diplomatic core , Associations , NGOs , Social media , Anchors , Media should support the Cause to enable and encourage the growers in Sind to multiply the product including its cultivation and trade . He was of the view that the educational institutions of Sind special various universities are trying their best to promote this date industry but merger with the business associations and trade organisations is a must . By organising these kind of fruit festivals will creat a new market for these fruits . He also expressed his views to fully support these Universities by sponsoring as well as logistic and HR support what ever is required by the stakeholders on priority basis .
Khairpur is the Hub of dates in Sind Pakistan which has not been properly explored and supported at large. Mr Saigal has assured all the major Universities of Sind to do his utmost till the goal is not achieved . He is willing to break all the protocols and started the plantation process himself . He said that he will not allow anyone to damage any kind of plants in Sind . He has also requested the people and businessmen of Sind to concentrate on date trade by helping and supporting the date growers and the research work done by the Universities of Sind in education sector .
He also requested the corporate sector to full fill their responsibilities in this regard . The UAE pattern can be followed to enhance the date business in Sind to provide strength to the economy of Pakistan .
