Islamabad: Maulana Fazlur Rehman, leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), has joined a special committee meeting at the Parliament House to discuss constitutional amendments. The meeting, chaired by Khursheed Shah from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), has started with Rehman in attendance.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi welcomed Rehman to the session. Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan is also at the meeting and will present information about the proposed changes to the constitution.
The committee’s work is an important step in considering updates to the country’s constitution. More details will be shared as the meeting progresses.
