The Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered the release of senior anchor Imran Riaz on bail and ordered him to appear before a magistrate’s court on the next working day.

Earlier, the Lahore High Court heard a petition against the registration of cases against anchor Imran Riaz in which Advocate General Punjab Shehzad Shaukat appeared and said that he had seen the file and a detailed reply was required if it was first working before a magistrate. If we guarantee to appear on the day and be released on bail, we will have no objection to Imran Riaz’s bail.

After assurances from senior anchor Imran Riaz, the Advocate General of Punjab requested the court to grant bail in the Chakwal case and no arrest has been made in any other FIR.
The Lahore High Court granted bail to Imran Riaz on personal bail and adjourned the hearing till July 19. On this occasion, Justice Ali Baqir Najafi inquired whether he was handcuffed, to which Imran Riaz replied that the handcuffs had been removed.
It should be noted that earlier the Lahore court had also dismissed the case against Imran Riaz.
