Toronto: Acting Consul General of Pakistan in Toronto Yasir Butt invited a LADIESFUND Canada Toronto delegation of Pakistani-Canadian dynamic women across sectors for an invigorating roundtable discussion on trade and business development opportunities between Pakistani-Canadian women and Pakistan.
The full house was led by LADIESFUND President Tara Uzra Dawood and included realtor Nilufer Mama, art curator Neshmia Ahmed, model Sabina Basha, manager of Memon Supermarket Sumaira Irfan, artist Zunaira Mufti, happiness coach Shaista Ali, et al.
“It was a pleasure to host the dynamic and enthusiastic delegation of the LADIESFUND comprising women who have done tremendous work in their own respective fields. I particularly appreciate Ms. Tara Dawood, President of Ladiesfund for introducing the delegates and for her remarkable philanthropic work in Pakistan,” said Mr. Butt.
“We are so grateful to Acting Consul General Mr. Yasir Butt for his and his consulate’s hospitality and commitment to facilitating Pakistani-Canadian women and appreciating the important role Pakistani women are playing across sectors in Canada.
The purpose of this delegation was to facilitate Pakistani-Canadian women to help their counterparts in Pakistan by sharing best practices, experiences and strategies for achieving targets in their respective fields, as well as to promote and bring across Pakistani products to Canada. The tone of the event was professional friendship-building, networking, and connecting the community back to Pakistan.
The event was structured as a Roundtable with each delegate sharing her introduction along with needs and leads, followed by a valuable talk by the honorable Consul General.
The selected delegates were representatives of different sectors, ages and years living in Canada. Their success in their careers was, however, truly inspirational.
“God bless LADIESFUND for helping so many people and bringing everyone together,’ said Neshmia Ahmed.
“It was really great to meet all the wonderful ladies who are role models for the women of this time,” said Zunaira Mufti.
“What a beautifully arranged event with a lot of substance. The curation of guests was particularly impressive as women represented were from across sectors,” said Nilufer Mama.
The roundtable ended with a high tea and a relaxed, informal mingling over a selection of Pakistani favourites savories and sweets.
