KARACHI – Khalid Tawab Former Sr Vice President FPCCI and victim of FPCCI Election 2021 has welcome the proposal of the Ministry of Commerce to introduce Electronic Voting in FPCCI Election 2022.
While commenting on the benefits of Electronic Voting system he said that this new system would ensure complete transparency eliminating the chances and possibilities of manipulation in casting and counting of votes which was largely witnessed in FPCCI election 2021. He said that he himself was a victim of the election of manipulation in 2021 and still his case of election unnecessary pending almost for the last one year depriving him from his legitimate right.
He said that electronic voting technology will not only increase overall voters turn over and ensure speedy counting of ballots, reducing the human involvement particularly for counting of votes manually and provide accessibility of voters of far-flung areas or abroad and a great facility to disabled voters to comfortably cast their votes. The unnecessary expenses would decrease to maximum extent, particularly unnecessary on account of travelling and hoteling. Results can be reported and published faster, voter to save time and cost by being able to vote independently from their location.
