Karachi – Employees Verification System (EVS) must be implemented in the entire province so
that the identity of employees and foreigners involved in crimes can be revealed. Through this
system it will be easy to identify people involved in crimes.
This was said by Vice President of Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) Muslim
Mohamedi while talking to In-charge Operation IT Directorate Sindh Police Tariq Khan Nizami in
KATI. Muslim Mohamedi said that KATI is the first industry association that has introduced the
Employees Verification System (EVS) app in collaboration with the police, through this system
Not only the verification of people involved in crimes formerly is possible and complete past record is traced?
The record will be provided and the system will immediately issue an alert if a case is registered /reported formerly thus intimating the employer? The Vice President said that under this effective system, street crimes and robberies will be
reduced on a daily basis and an atmosphere of law and order will be established in the city.
Through the Employees Verification System, the criminal elements ?sheltering in the city will be
identified, and the accused hiding under the guise of working people can be brought to justice.
He said that the businessmen and industrialists will now be safe from employing the accused/absconders
involved in crimes ?by using technology, fingerprint and face recognition through the Employees
Verification System.
Muslim Mohamedi added that now is the time to take full advantage of information and
technology.
He said that crimes are increasing rapidly in Karachi, in such a case, through the use of
technology and projects like Safe City, the culprits can be traced in time to avoid future problems?
