HYDERABAD – Honourable Governor Sindh, Imran Ismail, through a video message congratulated the students of Isra University Hyderabad on its 18th annual convocation ceremony held on 27th February 2021 at Hyderabad Campus.
The Governor said that I feel delighted while interacting with the Youth of the country and expressed sadness for not being part of the ceremony due Covid-19, but he promised that if God’s will, I will be part of the ceremony next year. Moreover, he highlighted that easy loan facilities like Kamyab Jawaan are introduced by the current government because the Prime Minister, Imran Khan thinks about the youth of the country. He encouraged the students and said that you have to grow and serve your nation because the country needs your help and support in every way. Besides, the Governor once again congratulated the Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Asadullah Kazi, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Nazeer Ashraf Laghari, Board of Directors, Faculty Members, students and their parents on the occasion.
At the ceremony, degrees were distributed among 423 students. In which, 269 students graduated in medical, dental, nursing and physiotherapy programs. However, 12 students got post graduated in the above fields. Moreover, 1 student was awarded Ph.D. degree in the field of medical science. Further, 135 students graduated, and post graduated in business administration, computer sciences, electrical engineering, information technology. However, 6 students from the department of management sciences were awarded with the Ph.D. degree.
Retired Justice and former Judge of Supreme Court of Pakistan, Faisal Arab was the chief guest on the occasion. Mr. Faisal Arab congratulated the students and advised them to work hard for their dreams and serve the nation and humanity by helping those who are deprived of the resources.
The students work really hard during their academic life and today is your day to celebrate it, said the chancellor, Prof. Dr. Asadullah Kazi while addressing to the students. He also said that today is very important and joyful day for the students who will be awarded with the degrees and they’ll get into a new life.
Prof. Dr. Kazi told that Isra University works for human welfare and also provides scholarships to the needy and deserving students with the help of Sindh government. He also highlighted the two other campuses of Isra University in Islamabad and Karachi which are also affiliated by HEC, Pakistan. The Chancellor congratulated the students and wished them for their better future.
However, Prof. Dr. Nazeer Ashraf Laghari, Vice Chancellor, Isra University said that Isra University is the only private university in Hyderabad that is approved by Sindh government and affiliated by HEC. Prof. Dr. Laghari said that today is the most important day in the life of every student because every student works really hard to pass every exam and get his/her desired degree. Moreover, he advised the students that they should serve the country during their professional life and become the leaders of the nation. He also said that never fear failure but learn from your mistakes.
The Vice chancellor informed the students that success is not an immediate thing, but it takes time, efforts, patience, and hard work. Higher Education Commission Pakistan has ranked Isra University as one of the best private universities and our degrees are affiliated with HEC and the medical degrees are affiliated with PM&DC said the Vice Chancellor. Moreover, Isra University’s name is mentioned in Faimer, World Directory of Medical Scholars and World Health Organization. However, the nursing program is also affiliated with Pakistan Nursing Council. Also, other programs like BBA, MBA, Computers, Economics, Engineering are also affiliated.
Prof. Dr. Laghari said that the University’s hospital and laboratory is equipped with the modern equipment. In the end, Prof. Dr. Laghari congratulated the students and distributed the degrees among 423 students and also distributed Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals among the deserving students. Besides, Dua Bukhari Syed, Anus Rizwan Akhund, Rida e Zainab, Warda Ahmed, Nida Nawaz Baloch, Qirat, Waqar Qureshi, Hassan Ahmed Shaikh, Samar Siddiqui and Mohammad Shahjahan secured gold medals in their degree programs. However, Govinda Lohana, Neha Javed, Simran Bajaj, Fatija, Vareesha Ali Pahnwar, Tareen Ejaz, Nabeel Raza and Noor Ahmed Arfeen secured Silver medals and Muhammad Ibrahim Memon, Asma Farooqui, Mahnoor, Maoeza shaikh, Dhansha Bai lakhwa, Maham Nizamani, Nimra Memon, Muhammad Huziafa Memon secured bronze medals.
