Ishtiaq Baig commends Prime Minister’s Austerity Measures

Karachi, March 10 2026: Ishtiaq Baig, President Business Forum Pakistan Muslim League (N), has praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his 14- point austerity measures for stabilizing the national economy in light of Iran- Israel tensions and rise in global oil prices. Prime Minister’s measures prioritize national and public interest and include reductions in government spending, limiting privileges of the elite, implementing effective savings in government offices, institutions and energy conservation initiatives.
Ishtiaq Baig stated that these steps will not only bring stability to Pakistan’s economy but will set an example for energy conservation and austerity nationwide. Prime Minister deserves congratulations and commendation for this initiative.
