Pakistan Society of Internal Medicine (PSIM) and Sir Syed College of Medical Sciences organized the Cardio-Metabolic awareness seminar 2024 at a local hotel in the presence of Prof Javed Akram as Chief Guest along with the organizers Prof. Zaman Shaikh and Dr. Shabnam Naveed.
Karachi: A Mushayra Dabistan-e-Karachi organised on Saturday, 31st August 2024, at KPT STAFF COLLEGE. The Minister of Maritime Affairs, Mr. Qaiser Ahmed Shaikh graced the occasion as the chief guest along with Chairman KPT, Syed Syedain Raza Zaidi. Other distinguished guests Dr. Nafees Qureshi and Mr. Pervez Haider were in attendance.
The renowned poets included Dr. Jawed Manzar, Mr. Zahid Johary, Mr. Farrukh Izhar, Mr. Khalil Ullah Farooqi, Ms. Naheed Uzmi, Mr. Shaukar Kamal Cheema, Ms. Yasmeen Yaas, Ms. Uzma Ismail, Mr. Shehzad Niaz, Mr. Kamran Mughal, Ms. Shazia Aalam Shazi, Mr. Ali Ashraf, Ms. Parveen Makhdomi and Mr. Aashiq Shoqi.
Dr. Zaigham Zaman presided over the Mushayra with Dr. Javed Manzar also in attendance. Additionally, Dr. Zaigham served as the master of ceremony for the event.
The event was a resounding success, celebrating the spirit of independence through the beautiful expressions of poetry.
Minister Qaiser Ahmed Shaikh, who thoroughly enjoyed the literary event, emphasized the importance of holding such gatherings to revive and preserve the rich cultural heritage of Pakistan.
