Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan directed the workers to reach D-Chowk.
Speaking in Hassan Abdal, Imran Khan said, “Wait for me in D-Chowk. I am coming. Police have shelled the peaceful protest.”
Imran Khan said that there is a sea of ??people, we are coming to D-Chowk, we are coming to D-Chowk with the sea of ??people.
The former Prime Minister said that the sea of ??people is coming with me to De Chowk, they will not leave until the government gives the date of elections.
Supreme Court orders to provide venue to PTI
The Supreme Court of Pakistan has ordered the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to provide a meeting place in the ground between H-9 and G-9.
Following assurances from the PTI leadership to hold a peaceful rally, the court directed the district administration to provide a venue for the rally.
The attorney general told the court that no more than 10,000 people could come there, including the Sunday Bazaar and the Srinagar Highway.
Hearing the PTI’s request, Justice Ejaz-ul-Haq said that a plan should be drawn up for the protesters to come peacefully and return home after the protest, lest Faizabad or the motorway be closed after the rally.
The court directed that security arrangements be made for the PTI meeting at H-9 meeting hall in 3 hours.
The court said that the court order can be changed at any time and the order can be withdrawn, the leadership of any political party will not be arrested, the arrested political leadership and workers should be released immediately. ?
The apex court said that the agreement reached in the PTI government for the JUI meeting should be implemented, a new clause should be included in the agreement through mutual consultation and the court should also be informed.
The court said that the Home Ministry should refrain from unnecessary use of force and ensure a meeting between the Home Secretary, IG Islamabad and IG Punjab, DC Islamabad government and PTI.
The Supreme Court has ordered that the safe return of PTI committee members be ensured. The court expects the leadership of all political parties to instruct its workers to remain peaceful.
The court said that the PTI committee should ensure that no untoward incident took place in the country, especially in Islamabad. The PTI committee should ensure that the property was not damaged.
The Supreme Court said that the cases against PTI leadership and workers should be decided by the High Courts as soon as possible. Homes, offices and any private place will not be raided. The PTI leadership will ensure that the Srinagar Highway will not be blocked.
The Attorney General assured the federal government that the obstacles would be removed.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till 9.30 am yesterday.
