Karachi (PR): President of Tanzeem-ul-Awan Sindh and Chairman of Tehreek-e-Awam Pakistan, Haji Muhammad Zahid Awan, held an important meeting with Pakistan People’s Party MPA Farooq Awan. The meeting focused on Karachi’s long-standing problems and public hardships.
On this occasion, Haji Muhammad Zahid Awan highlighted the city’s fundamental issues, saying that in a mega city like Karachi, the severe shortage of water has made people’s lives unbearable. Providing clean drinking water is a basic responsibility of the government, which requires urgent attention.
He also said that the sewerage system has collapsed, leaving streets and roads flooded with dirty water, causing citizens to suffer from diseases. Zahid Awan also identified the city’s dilapidated roads and rising unemployment as major issues. He stated that the lack of employment opportunities for youth is contributing to growing social problems.
He demanded that the government and concerned institutions take urgent measures on a priority basis to resolve these public issues.
Farooq Awan assured that he would vigorously raise these matters in the Sindh Assembly and play his full role in addressing public concerns. It was also agreed during the meeting to move forward with a joint struggle for the convenience and betterment of Karachi’s citizens.
