USA : The election which resulted in the victory of “PTI-independents” as against a bunch of “two-family-dynasty” rejected lot brought through alleged “computer-app” applications in the presence of solid physical evidence of rigging has resulted in global outburst against these elections.
In this post I am just showing a glimpse of the reaction among the United States Congressional leaders on Pakistani elections. The writing on the wall can be well read to comprehend as to what is coming next.
The PML-N has no presence in the capitol, the foreign office has shown dismal performance and those capable of damage control are being neglected. As such, the impact is as follows:
US lawmakers condemn rigging in polls
1.Congressman Ro Khanna

2.Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib
Democratic Michigan Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib on social media said that “we must stand with the Pakistani people as their democracy is at serious risk.”
“They should be able to elect their leaders without interference and tampering with the process, and the U.S. must ensure our tax dollars don’t go to anyone undermining that,” she added.
3. Congressman Greg Casar
U.S. Rep. Greg Casar (D-Texas) said that “Pakistanis have the right to elect their leaders without cell phone service shutdowns and other authoritarian practices aimed at undermining election results.”
“The U.S. must stand with the Pakistani people and make clear we will not support anyone working to undermine democracy,” he added.
4.Congresswoman Dina Titus
“Free and fair elections are the cornerstone of a functioning democracy. I condemn the use of political violence and the restriction on freedom of expression in Pakistan. I am closely monitoring the situation on the ground and urge officials to adhere to the rule of law,” said Democrat Congresswoman Dina Titus on X.
5.Congressman Brad Sherman
US Congressman Brad Sherman has said that press organizations in Pakistan should be free to report vote tabulations and stressed that there should not be a delay in announcing the election results.
6.Congresswoman Ilhan Omar
US Congresswoman Ilhan Omar criticized the democratic process in Pakistan, saying that the country cannot have “free and fair elections when one of the opposition parties has been criminalized.”
7.Chairman Senate Foreign Relations Committee
Senator Ben Cardin, Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee condemned in the strongest terms the election wrongdoings.
8.Congresswoman Joaquin Castro
Yesterday, millions of Pakistanis expressed their faith in democracy by making their voices heard at the ballot box. I support @StateDept ’s call for an investigation into alleged election interference and urge Pakistan’s leaders to respect the democratic will of the people.
9.Congresswoman Susan Wild
I echo the @StateDept call for a full investigation of election interference and fraud in Pakistan. Now is the time for the international community to stand on the side of the people of Pakistan. We cannot recognize a new government until it is clear that democracy has prevailed.
10.Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett
Very concerned by reports of vote manipulation and interference in Pakistan’s election. I agree with the @StateDept that we need a full investigation. The will of the Pakistani people must be respected.
