KARACHI – Haque Academy’s students Rida Farrukh, Sani-e-Zehra, Owais Khan, Fariha Jawad and Shafay hZia from 10th Grade have launched an awareness campaign as a part of their initiative to support and educate people on the lack of the presence of education, leading to high poverty rates in Pakistan, the “EPTE” Org. (Eradicate Poverty Through Education)”.
EPTE Organization Karachi’s awareness campaign is built on, “the objective which is focused on highlighting the importance of education and changing the negative perception of education in Pakistan.
Awareness and the purpose of changing the perception of people for this initiative was followed by conducting interviews and surveys.

They also raised awareness through their Instagram page. (@epteorganization) where they discussed their objectives, aim, and are focused on raising awareness through informative posts.
They conducted polls online and encouraged their followers to make change.
They also took one step forward and decided to create a petition, for “Advocating education as a priority for the underprivileged to eradicate poverty!”

There’s a statement from the EPTE team about their campaign and organization which is “We are honored to be featured at The AZB Daily. We are a group of students who are trying to highlight the importance of education and the lack of its presence in Pakistan”.
EPTE organization aims to bring awareness to this issue. We believe that the lack of education is one of the main reasons for poverty. Education is the leading solution to eradicate poverty.
According to UNESCO, if all students in low-income countries had basic reading skills (nothing else), an estimated 171 million people could escape extreme poverty. Currently, 22.8 Million children in Pakistan are not receiving education. There are many factors causing this ranging from lack of governmental efforts to the mindsets of people in rural areas. We as a team aim towards making a change. Everyone has the right to education and they should be able to receive it whether they come from a high-income family or low.
