The loss of one the most iconic figures of our times. She worked relentlessly for the benefit of his people, building bridges between the nations. Her services to humanity will always be remembered.

The Chairman ICPH, Ambassador Imam Allama Muhammad Ahsan Siddiqui visited the British Deputy High Commission Karachi to offer his condolences on the sad demise of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. He said that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, epitomized wisdom and contribution to humanitarian causes, tolerance, and peace and her served United Kingdom with honor and grace. He wrote in condolatory book that the Queen represented continuity, stability and predictability in the face of monumental changes for the UK and Commonwealth nations. She symbolized the continuity and change that ushered her nation into the contemporary era, in tune with global developments. Her Majesty was a great leader, and above all a humanitarian leader par excellence. Her Majesty was a voice of wisdom, balance and reason. Britain’s longest ruling monarch, the Queen embodied the essence of British leadership for over seven decades and leaves a proud legacy of service to her people and of steadfast friendship and respect for Pakistan. Her Majesty greatly contributed to the enhancement of the bilateral relations between Pakistan and the UK.

Ambassador Imam Allama Ahsan siddiqui said that Pakistan also acknowledged Her Majesty as a great friend to the Pakistan, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has done a lot to strengthen friendly relations and constructive cooperation between our countries, Her was undoubtedly Pakistan’s best friend, who took several initiatives to provide our country with generous assistance and development cooperation, for which our entire nation owes him a debt of gratitude and his work will never be forgotten. The people of Pakistan will fondly remember Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The Interfaith Commission for Peace & Harmony (ICPH) recognises the ascension of King Charles III to the throne.

Imam Allama Ahsan said that today we join in mourning Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with millions around the world who loved, admired and respected her, the Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II embraced qualities of “dignity, humility, grace, resolute faith and selfless public service”. Queen encouraged religious harmony and friendship across the many different faiths, in particular Islam and Christianity. We have long admired the Queen’s deep respect for other people’s beliefs and an interest in celebrating the commonalities and shared values between faiths. All of us, of all faiths and none, will remember Her Majesty’s legacy of public service and celebrate her achievements.
