Karachi 13th August 2022: Ambassador at Large for Global Peace, Human Rights Imam Allama Muhammad Ahsan Siddiqui Chairman, Interfaith Commission for Peace & Harmony (ICPH) on Saturday has congratulated the nation all the Pakistanis in the beloved and around the world on the occasion of 75th Diamond Jubilee Independence Day. We reiterate our resolve to remain steadfast on the principles of freedom of the homeland, dignity of the nation.
In his message to the nation he said that Pakistan is our identity. Countless people gave their blood to kindle the light of freedom and millions had to migrate for this purpose. Our elders sacrificed their present for our future. 75th Diamond Jubilee Independence Day is a time to pay homage to our founding fathers and those who sacrificed everything in creating Pakistan. Today we remember our forefathers and pay our gratitude to them for making extraordinary sacrifices to give us an identity. By the grace of Almighty Allah and the struggle and sacrifices of our forefathers, today we are taking a breath in a free atmosphere. We are lucky that we opened our eyes in a free and sovereign country.
The Ambassador ofPakistanand Chairman ICPH said that the goal of achieving the freedom was to establish a state where teachings of the Holy Quran and practices of the Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH were implemented. Imam Allama Ahsan Siddiqui said that the nation should make it clear that if we want to make Pakistan a great country, then we will have to follow the Quaid-i-Azam three principles, unity, faith and discipline and vow to fight to defend our rights enshrined in our constitution.He said Pakistan was a gift to the nation from Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah who had said no power on earth could undo Pakistan. Pakistan was a living miracle of Quaid-i-Azam’s political genius and his rock-like determination. We must commit to staying on track to achieve the goal of peace and prosperity for Pakistan, defeating detractors filled with messages of hate and intolerance.
Imam Allama Ahsan Siddiqui remarked that undoubtedly freedom was a great blessing and the nations which were living a life in slavery and were being subjected to oppression and exploitation know the value of freedom. The 75th Diamond Jubilee Independence Day demands from us that we should plan our future strategy in the light of our past experiences. If we fail to correct our mistakes today, do not choose the right path, and continue to serve our personal interests instead of the national objectives, the future generations will never pardon us.
Being a nation, Imam Allama Ahsan Siddiqui said all we have to do was add to our share in the country’s integrity, solidarity and development. Pakistan has importance in the comity of nations and all we have to realize our critical role in taking forward its affairs. During celebration, he said we should also remember the sacrifices of our Pakistan Movement leaders and pray for their eternal peace. He saying that let us remind ourselves of promises unfulfilled especially towards equal safety and protection of all our non-Muslim citizens whom we still refer to as minorities.
Global Peace Ambassador Imam Allama Ahsan Siddiqui emphasized and advised the countrymen specially the Youth that on the Independence Day all should plant trees, clean the surroundings for the healthy and happy atmosphere, beside government’s responsibility the common people should contribute and facilitate in education, health and other sectors of life as a responsible citizen. Self-responsibility can create a self-sufficient and responsible society and can lead the nation towards bright future.This country give us everything we need and it’s our duty to do something to our extent for our motherland and add our share in its progress adding. We have to make a pledge to work individually and collectively for the prosperity of our land. He said our brave forces were standing like a rock on the borders to safeguard our land and we also have to pray for them and their families.
Today we have to pledge that we will work together for the development of the country beyond provincialism, linguistics and political affiliations and work hard for progress and prosperity of homeland. Let‘s pray Al-Mighty Allah make Pakistan cradle of knowledge and peace, protect its people and their freedom, and help them realize those goals for which this separate homeland was carved out.
