Pakistan : General Pervez Musharraf — one of the most influential and debated figures in Pakistan’s modern history. Born on 11 August 1943 in Delhi, he later moved with his family to Pakistan after the partition. Musharraf joined the Pakistan Army in 1961 and steadily rose through the ranks, serving in important roles during the 1965 and 1971 wars. In 1998, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif appointed him as the Chief of Army Staff.
In October 1999, Pervez Musharraf took control of the government in a military coup and became Pakistan’s Chief Executive, later serving as the President of Pakistan from 2001 to 2008. His era was marked by major political shifts, economic reforms, and Pakistan’s crucial role in global events after 9/11. While admired by many for his bold leadership and criticized by others for military rule, Musharraf remains a central figure in Pakistan’s political narrative.

The images reflect two different chapters of his life — a young military officer standing beside his wife Sehba Musharraf while holding their child, and decades later, a calmer family moment showing the former president enjoying time with his loved ones. Beyond politics and power, these moments reveal the private side of a man who balanced public responsibility with family life.
