The health ministry in Gaza has confirmed that the death toll from the ongoing conflict with Israel has surpassed 40,300. This recent increase includes 69 new fatalities reported in the past 48 hours. Since the conflict began on October 7, 2023, after a Hamas attack on Israel, over 93,000 Palestinians have been injured due to relentless Israeli bombardments.
On Saturday, Israeli strikes targeted Gaza’s Khan Younis and the Al-Nuseirat camp, killing 12 Palestinians, including two children and a woman. Additionally, 15 others were injured in these latest attacks.
Efforts by negotiators from the US, Egypt, and Qatar to mediate a ceasefire and secure the release of more than 100 hostages in Gaza are ongoing. The conflict has created a severe humanitarian crisis, causing widespread displacement and deepening the suffering of Palestinian families.
