INDIA : A woman in India fell victim to cyber fraud while shopping online and suffered a financial loss of approximately 98,000 rupees. According to details, the incident took place when the woman made an online payment to buy clothes from a well-known website. A few days later, she received calls from some unknown numbers, saying that her transaction was not completed or there was a problem with the payment. The callers assured that if she paid the additional amount, it would be refunded later. On this misleading belief, the woman paid more, as a result of which a total of about Rs 98,000 was withdrawn from her bank account through various transactions. The woman contacted the police as soon as she came to know about the loss.
