Describe what has kept you motivated to serve the Communication Association of Pakistan?
Imran Rana: I feel fortunate enough to be part of the group that conceived the idea to have a formal association of professionals working in the communications and PR industry of Pakistan. For all of us, CommsPK is a dream and we are super excited to see it coming true, Insha Allah. I am fully confident this platform, because of the pool of talented professionals that it will gather on stage, will enable us to take the communications industry of Pakistan to greater heights.
Every single effort going into bringing this platform to life is taking us one step closer to this dream, which will be realized in the form of greater regional and global relevance through linkages, collaborations, and the sharing of experiences.
CommsPK is all set to become the launchpad for the promotion of greater learning and the nurturing of talent through the adoption of global best practices and standards, resulting in increased ROI for all the members, be they individuals or organizations.
Describe your leadership style?
Imran Rana: Collaborative, consultative, people-person; thoroughly driven by the quest for innovation and improvement, for both myself and the people I work with. A hardcore believer in the enhancement of creativity in communications based on an objectives-driven approach.
What are you looking forward doing with commspk in 2021?
Imran Rana: As one of the members of the Membership Committee of the Association, the plan in the inaugural year of CommsPK will be to drive membership and grow the platform with the addition of more like-minded professionals who share our vision of growth not just for the self, but for the entire industry. After all, there can be no doubt that all of us can only grow if the communications industry in Pakistan also grows and reaches greater heights of professionalism and creativity.
