Karachi, 14 th May 2025: President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Atif Ikram Sheikh, has appointed Ishtiaq Baig as his Advisor on Trade and Investment for the African Region.
Ishtiaq Baig is a distinguished businessman with a longstanding association with the African continent. He has been serving as the Hon.
Consul General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Pakistan for the past 18 years and is also the Chairman of the Pakistan-Morocco Business Council of FPCCI. He has played a vital role in strengthening bilateral trade between Pakistan and Morocco.
With his deep understanding of African markets and extensive diplomatic and business experience, Ishtiaq Baig is well-positioned to contribute meaningfully in his new role. His appointment reflects FPCCI’s commitment to enhancing trade relations and investment opportunities between Pakistan and the African region, in lines with the
Government of Pakistan's "Look Africa" policy.
