The day has come to forget hugs and hugs and greet. Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated across the country today with religious fervor and enthusiasm.
Prayers were offered for the security, development and survival of the country in all the small and big cities of the country including Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar and Quetta. Special prayers were also offered for Occupied Kashmir and Palestine.
After the Eid prayers, the citizens continue to visit the graves of their deceased.
Strict security arrangements have been made in all the cities on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. Markets in different cities were crowded till late at night on the occasion of moon night.
In his message on Eid-ul-Fitr, President Arif Ali said that Eid is a day of sharing happiness and self-sacrifice for the deprived sections of our society. The true joy of Eid can be found only when we share our happiness with others.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif while congratulating the nation on Eid said that special care should be taken of the poor and needy people and families while celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr. Police and border guards are celebrating Eid away from their loved ones.
The Prime Minister said that the government was committed to save the nation from load shedding. It has been ordered not to carry out load shedding for three days of Eid-ul-Fitr so that the people of Watan can enjoy the joys of Eid in full.
The Prime Minister said that it was also a prayer for the subjugated Muslims of Palestine and Occupied Kashmir that God would deliver them from oppression and exalt them with the blessing of freedom.
