On Tuesday, a powerful magnitude 5.7 earthquake rattled parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, sending shockwaves through several cities. The quake struck near Dera Ghazi Khan at a depth of 10 kilometers, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
People across Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Multan, and many other areas felt the tremors. Cities like Malakand, Chiniot, Bhakkar, and Faisalabad were among those affected. The quake was also felt in smaller towns such as Chakwal, Kamalia, and Hafizabad, as well as in regions like South Waziristan and Kasur.
