Khairpur : Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur laid the foundation stone by unveiling the plaque of construction of Tensile Fabric Sun Shed and Pathway along with Dual Carriage Road from the Main Gate (Zero Point) to new Academic Block.
Talking to the participants, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto remarked that we are highly thankful to the Govt. of Sindh approved and sanctioned amount for the construction of cited project. In the absence of sun shed, in the days of hot, humid, sizzling and scorching heat where the mercury reaches 50 degree Celsius, the students were facing extreme hardship while walking. He said we are committed to provide the better facilities to the students and staff. Vice Chancellor also appreciated the efforts of Engr. Ghulam Asghar Shaikh, Project Director (Works) for embarking this project in befitting manner in terms of technical as well as quality work of the shed.
Engr. Ghulam Asghar Shaikh briefed the Vice Chancellor that this scheme was availed by the University through Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) wherein the Govt. of Sindh allocated Rs. 42 Million for this scheme.
