The Consulate General of Pakistan in Houston, The Alliance for Disaster Relief (AFDR) & Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) delivered a 20 feet truckload of winter items as part of “Turkey Earthquake Relief Efforts” at the Turkish Consulate in Houston.
Honorable Consul General Abrar Hashmi of Pakistan handed over the Relief items to the Honorable Turkish Consul General Serhad Varli at his office’s donation drive camp.
Consul General Hashmi mentioned that Turkey and Pakistan have historically very close relations and we are sending out heartfelt condolences to all the suffering families in Turkey; we are and will always be with them.
Several pallets winter stuff includes Blankets, Jackets, Sweatshirts, and Boots etc.
The effort was generously supported by Syed Javaid Anwar, Chief Patron AFDR and the Community.
Honorable Consul General Serhad Varli of Turkey truly appreciates the kind gesture of the Houstonian Pakistani Community.
Others who were very instrumental in organizing this effort were AFDR Cordinator Muhammad Saeed Sheikh, Director Dr. Yakoob Sheikh, Atif Khan, Ali Sheikhani,Mehmood Ahmed and HHRD officials ILyas Choudry and Saad Ansari.
