Karachi: Chinese Consul General in Karachi Mr. Yang Yundong, along with diplomats of the Chinese Consulate General, paid a visit to Mazar-e-Quaid.
Under the guidance of guards of honor from the Pakistan Navy, Consul General Yang Yundong and the Chinese diplomats climbed up the stairs and entered the memorialization at a coordinated pace to the rhythm of the Naval Band. Mr. Yang placed a wreath to the Qaid-i-Azam (Great Leader) and Baba-e-Qaum (The Father of the Nation) before holding a solemn homage-paying ceremony, and then he left a respectful message on the guest book “The Land of the Pure, the Great Leader of the Nation, Mr. Jinnah forever lives in the hearts of the Pakistani people”. Consul General Mr. Yang Yundong and the Chinese diplomats also visited the Jinnah Relics Museum and listened carefully to the life stories of Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Consul General Mr. Yang Yundong said that China and Pakistan share a common memory of founding a country and safeguarding national sovereignty, independence,e, and dignity. The two countries have jointly cultivated a profound friendship on the foundation of pioneering work laid by the older generations of respective leaders. This timeless friendship is even to this day a precious wealth to the people of the two countries, which provides the inexhaustible impetus for the two countries to build a closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era.
