BEIJING : Usually, when people take out a loan, they forget to repay it, but recently a Chinese citizen set an example of honesty when, with the help of his wife, he decided to repay a loan taken from his ex-girlfriend after 24 years. According to Chinese media reports, a man named Li took advantage of the media and appeared on a public service program to try to find his ex-girlfriend, Ma, so he could repay her debt. According to foreign media, the money was 10,000 yuan, which is approximately 400,000 Pakistani rupees. Lee and Ma met in 1991 and fell in love. Later, in 2001, Lee needed some money to start his business, which Ma lent him. Li lost Ma’s phone number, after which he resorted to television, but he has not yet been able to find Ma.
