Cabinet approves audio leak probe, Imran will be held accountable: Shahbaz Sharif

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the cabinet has approved an investigation into the audio leak revelations, Imran Khan will have to be held accountable for all conscious criminal acts.

While giving an interview to the British newspaper The Guardian, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif said that after taking office, he realized how Imran Khan has damaged the country internally and externally. 

He said that Pakistan is currently in the grip of a severe economic crisis, Pakistan is facing increasing inflation, foreign debts, currency depreciation.

He said that due to the worst floods in history, Pakistan suffered a loss of more than 30 billion dollars.

During his interview, while talking about the audio leaks, he said that in the audio leaks, Imran Khan can be heard saying how he will play with Cipher.

The Prime Minister said that according to the leaked audios, Imran Khan has been found to be the biggest liar on earth, Imran Khan is provoking his supporters in rallies and speeches after being removed from power.

Shahbaz Sharif said that Imran Khan is giving conspiracy theories, accusing the current government of being corrupt.

The Prime Minister said that Imran Khan is also planning a march in the capital Islamabad in the coming weeks, Imran Khan has injected countless poisons in the society, Imran Khan is creating hatred by distorting the facts.

He said that the cabinet has approved an inquiry into the audio leak revelations, Imran Khan will have to be held accountable for all conscious criminal acts.

He said that he is actively working to improve relations with the United States, despite severe financial difficulties, signed an agreement with the United States for F-16 aircraft.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that he had a brief meeting with the American President in New York, he promised to support Pakistan.
