Collation Govt failed to provide an appropriate budget as Enhancing Exports is the only way to get the country out of economic crisis: Shaikh Imtiaz Hussain.
Karachi : The collation government has dashed the hopes of the people by presenting a failed budget. President Pakistan Agriculture and Horticulture Forum Shaikh Imtiaz Hussain said this while expressing concern over the recent budget.
He said that by imposing additional tax on exports, the development of the country is being hindered because export is the only way to get the country out of economic crises. Traders Totally rejects Budget 2024 as the budget does not provide any relief to businesses including real estate and other sectors. While the sectors like Agriculture that play an important role in the development of the country have also been neglected in the budget, he said that instead of getting relief from the current budget, their problems will increase. By imposing Additional Taxes on Country Exports the country will suffer more difficulties instead of getting out of crises.
Shaikh Imtiaz Hussain said that instead of increasing the tax net in the recent budget, the hands of the Bureaucracy were strengthened, which will burden the tax filers with more taxes. Industries and factories will be forced to move to other countries while in the present era business friendly policies need to be introduced.
Shaikh Imtiaz Hussain said that the government should consider the suggestions of economists and the business community for making the budget because the business community is the backbone of the country’s development. He said that only VAT tax is collected all over the world, while thousands of types of taxes are collected from the people in Pakistan, despite this, the country is suffering from crises. It is completely unfair and this is the reason why the tax net is not increasing. He said that if the government takes only one type of tax from the people, then the businessmen should join the tax net to pay taxes by themselves, we all must take joint measures for its development and prosperity so that Pakistan becomes developed to emerge on the world map.
