Showbiz Desk: Recently, These models completed the ramp walk not because of any technical glitch or bad dress designing but because of ‘Fall Fashion Week’. With the onset of autumn, vulgar style was held at the famous Milan Fashion Week in Paris.
During the Milan Fashion Week, Florence-based label AVAVAV led by Designer and Creative Director Beate Karlsson took a tumble into its first live runway show. Literally, models dropped looks as they walked onto the runway and intentionally fell to their knees—but more on that later.
Beate Karlsson attracted everyone’s attention by comparing fall fashion to fall by adopting a unique style during her first fashion show.
About the flurry of tripped-up models and dramatic collection pieces, Karlsson says, “This collection and the runway show are an ironic observation of how we use wealth and richness as a sort of power move. Instead of using the ‘demnaesk’ idea of putting tacky logos and statements on expensive clothing I wanted to do the opposite.”
“The `Moonster’ boots are constructed in thick foam to reach the voluminous silhouette. It’s been a fun continuation of our ‘Fingers’ and a new method for us to create sculptural footwear, Karlsson added.
Further, she said, “I thought it was fun and funny to make ridiculous statements that scream ‘I AM WEALTHY.”
Beate Karlsson shared the video and photos on Instagarm handle, which won the hearts of fans. Fans are calling the show ‘iconic’. The video has so far been viewed by 3.8 million users while more than 80 thousand users have liked it.
