At the conclusion of the ceremony, Shehzad recited his poetry to warm applause from the audience. Muhammad Ahmad Shah and Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui presented him with a bouquet on behalf of the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi.
