ISLAMABAD – A US delegation led by Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Alice Wells is scheduled to arrive in Islamabad today on a five-day-long visit to Pakistan.
According to Pakistan Foreign Office, Alice Wells and US President Donald Trump’s administration’s point-person for South and Central Asia was going to be a part of the delegation in Washington, she will hold meetings with the Civil and Military leadership of the country.
Alice Wells will hold a meeting with the Pakistani civil and military leadership to discuss bilateral issues and Afghan Peace Process.
The visit is aimed to strengthen the bilateral ties between the two countries.
This would be a follow-up of the US-Pakistan consultations that began in Washington when Prime Minister Imran Khan visited and met Trump at the White House on July.
