Karachi: Alhaaj Ali Gohar Khan, the elder brother of renowned builder and CEO of Gohar Group of Companies, Hanif Gohar, passed away at the age of 92 in Landhi’s Future Colony. Known for his extensive contributions as a former BD member, Former Councilor, and former president of Pakistan Muslim League (N) District Malir, Alhaaj Ali Gohar Khan’s funeral prayer was led by Allama Aurangzeb Farooqi. He was laid to rest in the local cemetery.
Prominent figures from various walks of life gathered in large numbers to pay their respects. Among the attendees were notable personalities, including Pakistan Peoples Party Vice President of Malir District Babu Bashir Ali Gohar Khan, Dr. Adil Gohar, Nisar Gohar, Saeed Gohar, as well as Members of the National Assembly Waja Abdul Hakeem Baloch, Agha Syed Rafiullah, and MPAs Mahmood Alam Jamot, Saleem Baloch, Raja Abdul Raziq Baloch, and Jam Abdul Karim Khan. Sindh SFA President Muhammad Azam Swati, DFA Malir President Waja Tahir Baloch, General Secretary Sharaft Khan Niazi Shani, and Senior Sports Organizer Faqir Muhammad Gulzar Jr. were also present. Religious figures such as Sheikh Al Hadith Maulana Iqbalullah, Shaukat Qadir Baloch, Wajah Nazimuddin Baloch, Mufti Nazir Ahmad Hazarvi, Feroze Khan, Muhammad Ibrahim Baloch Askani, and Adnan Rasool Bakhsh Brohi also expressed their condolences. Deputy Mayor Karachi, Salman Abdullah Murad, expressed deep sorrow over Alhaji Ali Gohar Khan’s passing and highlighted his invaluable political and social contributions, noting that his services would be remembered for a long time. He prayed for the deceased’s elevation in Jannat al-Firdous and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
