ISLAMABAD: An Accountability Court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of Al-Azizia and Flagship corruption references against Sharif family till August 3.
Judge Muhammad Bashir adjourned the hearing after he was informed that the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has yet not decided the Sharif family’s plea for transfer of both the cases to another accountability court.
A day earlier, a two-member bench of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) will hear the petitions of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Capt (retd) Safdar on July 31.
The bench comprising of Justice Amir Farooq and Gul Hassan Aurangzeb will hear the petitions regarding suspension of their sentences in the Avenfield reference. The NAB has formed a legal team headed by Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi to assist the court.
