Lahore – January 6, 2026: Yango Ride, part of the global tech company Yango Group, has introduced a major safety advancement for its customers and partner drivers through a new partnership with the Punjab Safe City Authority (PSCA). The in-app integration marks the first of its kind in Pakistan’s ride-hailing sector, setting a new benchmark for safety, accountability, and real-time emergency support.
With this integration, customers will be able to call the official 15 emergency police helpline directly from within the Yango app. The call will be routed to the Emergency Response Centre under a priority flag to ensure immediate attention during any unforeseen situations during rides. The integration was developed factoring in common yet crucial steps in emergencies, such verbally sharing location verbally and identifying vehicle details, etc that can delay emergency response time.
With the new system, the following information will be automatically transmitted to the PSCA authorities as soon as the call is initiated, allowing them to take prompt action:
* User’s live geo-location (latitude/longitude)
* User’s name, phone number and credentials
* Address of where the call was placed from
* Partner driver’s name, phone number and credentials
* Vehicle type, model and registration number
* Pickup and dropoff location entered while booking the ride
This streamlined process significantly reduces response time and enables authorities to act with complete situational awareness. Additionally, through this feature, users can also access a range of emergency services, including ambulance dispatch, police assistance, and the Virtual Women Police Station for female passengers.

PSCA representatives welcomed the collaboration, highlighting that digital access to Emergency 15 with automatic information-sharing supports their mission to enhance citizen safety and reduce response times across the province.
